- ANDERSON, BANKS, BUCHANAN, CAMPBELL, DIBBLE, DIBELL, HOPPES, LITTLE, STAFFORD, STEWART posted by Bonnie A. Connell on Sunday, February 3, 2002
- I am desperately searching for my great-grandfather and his family. His name was Asa John Dibell/Dibble/Deeble, whatever. He was born in Rome Twp, Ashtabula Co., Ohio in 1863. He eventually went to NY (for work or to live with relatives?). He married twice, but only know one name and don't know if that was my great-grandmother or not. Her name was Mary Eliza Anderson, born 24 July l866. After their marriage, they moved to Normel, Normel Co., IL where their son, Gilbert Anderson Dibell, was born September 1897. After his birth the family moved northward into Mecosta Co., MI. There Asa John purchased 2 homes. He lived in one and gave the other to his son Gilbert and his wife to live in. Asa died when I was just 6, in 1949. Other than vague memories of him, I have little info. He did work for Barnum & Bailey in NY, working with the elephants at the time of the train wreck when Jumbo the elephant got loose. If you have any info on him, or any of his family or descendants ! of them PLEASE contact me at: badibella@Hotmail.com Thank you, Bonnie

- ATWOOD, PERKINS posted by Lucy Parker on Tuesday, April 9, 2002
- Trying to find any information on the George Atwood line. George died 15 Oct. 1887 Possibly in Middlefied as he si buried in the Middlefield cemetery, as his wife Phebe (Rafina?) died 30 Sept. 1878, they had two known sons, Daniel born c 1850 and Augustus born 24 Feb. 1852. Daniel died 1899 and Augustus died 1925, from the death cert. of Augustus it shows him being born in Middlefield. I can't find anything on this family prior to 1870 census where daniel is still living with his parents, all records show that they were born in Ohio, but I can't find anything on this line before 1870, HELP!!! does anyone know anything on this line? I also belive that Phebe(Rafina) may be George's second wife and not the boy's mother. Augustus's mother listed on his death cert. says ----Perkins

- BINGHAM, HEHR, SMITH posted by Catherine on Friday, April 26, 2002
- Looking for any information on Tyrus Smith and Orilla Bingham Smith. They were married on 20 April 1845. One of them was listed as from Auburn on their marriage license. I do not have parent information on either one and there was none listed on the Rootsweb Geauga marriage list. I would suspect that their families must have lived in Geauga County.

- CANFIELD, DRYER, FULLER posted by James H. Fuller on Tuesday, May 28, 2002
- I am seeking information regarding the ancestors of Edson Fuller and Celina (Canfield) Fuller who resided in Geauga County in the early 19th century and moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan about 1845 and then helped to found the city of Big Rapids, Michigan in the late 1850's. I believe Edson Fuller was born in 1809 in Farmington, New York and was the son of Willard S. Fuller and Tryphena (Dryer) Fuller. Willard Fuller was born in Farmington, Connecticut in 1785 and Tryphena Dryer was born in Stockbridge, Massachusetts in 1787. Willard and Tryphena were married in Farmington, New York in 1807. I am particularly interested in the ancestors of Willard S. Fuller, Tryphena Dryer and Celina Canfield.
